One more cool Los Gatos destination

Enoteca's Mike and Joe on day one

Enoteca's Mike and Joe on day one

Our premier arrival at Enoteca La Storia turned out  to be the literal premier of this new downtown Los Gatos retail wine business. We walked through the doors 30 minutes into their official opening.

Dianne and I have met Mike Guerra and Joe Cannistraci at past Chamber events, so it was really fun to celebrate with them their “arrival” in downtown and with them the arrival of a very interesting new wine and food experience (mostly wine).

We enjoyed a glass of delicious, moderately-priced Italian Barbera and marveled at the immense height if the interior and the sweeping granite/marble bar. Here’s what I found intriguing – you can taste, buy a glass and sip, buy a bottle and share, buy bottles and leave with them, and all the while enjoy light fare with an Italian flair.

It’s no secret that Dianne and I position our local area as a destination, with wine-related experiences one of the cornerstones of what makes our area attractive to visitors. So, welcome Joe, Mike and team. One more cool Los Gatos destination.

Look for Enoteca on the “other” side of Highway 9, first parking lot on the right in the newly renovated center. Look for easy and ample parking, too.
